Trinidad Black Cake is a labor of love. The fruits used in our black cake swim in cherry brandy and rum for up to a year or more! Don't compare this to fruit cake, it's not even close. The tradition is to “put your fruits to soak” in January in order to make Black Cake in December. This is not the cake you think it is. The lengthy preparation is one of many reasons why a piece of Trinidad Black Cake tastes like a long, warm hug. Enjoy!

Second time ordering, family loved it.Excellent!!!
I ordered this cake for the discussion my book club had about the book, Black Cake. It added to the atmosphere of the meeting and was enjoyed by all. I ordered the 6-inch cake and was a little concerned when it arrived because it seemed so small. But it turned out to be the perfect size for our group of 6 women! Customer service was excellent!
Good cake and buy it again
I shipped this to my BF who is stationed overseas. He was so excited for his black cake. She was so nice to wrap it. Customer service was excellent and super responsive. She helped out when the post office lost the first order.
